How To Pay For Home Care

Our goal is to keep our precious clients at home. To do so, we work with Medicaid,  insurance companies, community agencies, and personal resources. A common misconception is that Medicare will cover the cost of home care.  Traditionally, Medicare does not cover non-medical personal care such as bathing and dressing, home maker services like laundry, housekeeping and shopping, or 24/7 care.

My loved one or I require home care. How do we pay for it?

There are a variety of options that you may be eligible for:

Medicaid- This is for low-income adults, children, pregnant women, elderly adults and people with disabilities.  Under the Medicaid program, there are several options to obtain care.

Private Insurance

    • All private insurances are different and cover different things.
      • Call the number on the back of your insurance card.
      • Ask the representative if there a “Long Term Care” clause or option in your policy.
          • If so, the representative will be able to tell you what it covers.
          • You can then contact us and we will work with you on the next steps.

Veterans’ Benefits

  • For veterans of the United States Military, benefits are available with certain requirements.
    • Caregivers of Veterans can contact the VA Caregiver Support Line by calling 1-855-260-3274. The VA Caregiver Support Line is available Monday through Friday 8a to 8p EST.
