Personal Care Aide (PCA) – This is a hands-on care aide that will assist with activities of daily living in such areas as bathing, toileting, transfers, transport to medical appointments, help with paying bills or running errands and medication assistance to name a few.
PCA’s provide care in areas such as:
- Bathing assistance
- Dressing assistance
- Skin/hair/nail care
- Shaving assistance
- Meal preparation / check expiration dates on food
- Transfers
- Individualized exercise programs
- Light housekeeping of main living areas including kitchens, bathrooms, living rooms and bedrooms
- Running errands with or without the client (ie grocery shopping)
- Transportation or escort to doctor appointments
- Assistance with organizing bill payments & management oversight (ie we will sit with you and go through your bills to help ensure you are paying your bills)
- Watering indoor plants
- Sitting and socializing
- Medication and health monitoring
- Other areas of activities of daily living!
